Feeling GREAT after doing something GOOD for my client even to my expense or LOSS.
Today, We had the Launching of our NEW Condominium Project. Everyone was rushing to get the best units. I was the first to secure the best units for my Priority Clients who are SURE BUYERS.
One of my client asked me to get the best 1bedroom corner unit for her to live in and i did that. She was excited about it because she will finally get her dream condo unit that she invested and worked hard for as much as i am since i would also make a new sale.
During the process of closing the deal, I once again carefully examined the building plan and location of her chosen unit.
Then, I REALIZED that all the 1bedroom corner units (Photo: unit encircled with a yellow highlight) DOES NOT HAVE A GOOD VIEW.
The units are facing a HUGE FIREWALL from the neighboring building. Meaning, their window space is limited and is facing the wall and they can only have a small balcony which is still facing a wall. Tsk tsk... In my opinion as a real estate consultant, the view did not make the unit have a relaxing living condition.
In the same day, my client followed me up and told me that SHE WILL ALREADY PAY the reservation for the unit that she was excited about...
That's when i decided to tell her NOT TO GO THROUGH WITH THE PURCHASE!!!
WHY DID I DO THAT? Why would i choose to LOSE A SALE?
That's because when i started to do Real Estate, I told myself that my goal is to help every client that i will have get their dream home and be more than satisfied with it. It's because I know it's been THEIR LIFE LONG DREAM to own one.
I've chatted with my client for some time now while closing the deal and in the process I at least was able to know her a bit more personally. I also knew she TRUSTED me with her finances.
Can I take the fact that I will be able to make a sale knowing that my client would end up not getting the worth of what she invested in? The answer is NO...
I found it in my heart that it is better to LOSE A SALE than to LOSE THE TRUST that your client fully gave you...
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!! :)
